Under the direction of the creative team from Tim Bray Youth Theatre, students will have the opportunity to explore their performance skills, build confidence, and create a unique piece of theatre, ready to ‘Hit the Stage!’ at the end of the week with a free entry performance for family and friends. Workshops are offered for kids aged 7 to 9 years and 10 to 12 years.

The week is designed to build the young actor’s confidence and skill, incorporating aspects of stagecraft such as ensemble work, voice, movement, improvisation, characterisation, even singing and script work if required in the show.

In Week One of the July School Holidays Brickworks will be running their popular drama workshops again! Workshops are offered for kids aged 6 – 9 years old, and 10 – 14 years old. Each workshop is a self-contained day with a central theme, finishing with a showcase by the kids at 3pm for their parents and caregivers.

The students gain confidence, enhancing their communication and teamwork skills through fun games and exercises taught by the experienced Brickworks drama tutors.

Artz On Show run school holiday workshops to educate young students aged 5-15 in all facets of the Arts while helping to build confidence and self-esteem.

Each workshop is centered around a theme, with the July 2023 school holiday activities being based on Shrek. Workshops inspire creative choices in music and script, offering a variety of Performing Arts classes during the school holidays with students working towards performing in a final showcase.

Extraordinarily Creative holiday programme for autistic and neurodivergent children and teens

Extraordinarily Creative is an innovative and unique programme for autistic and neurodivergent children and teens in a safe and dedicated environment where everyone’s unique abilities and gifts are celebrated and students are allowed to grow and shine in their own space (Takiwātanga). In this daily 1-hour workshop students’ exceptional brains and energy are embraced, and through acting techniques they are guided in a journey of self-discovery.

Through drama exercises, students will play out emotions and experiences in the workshops, allowing them to build on their emotional language and understand  their feelings better. Fun interactions with classmates and experienced tutors helps to build communication abilities, grows social skills and creates friendships.
